Job purpose

In order to ensure the successful and quality delivery of the organisations product roadmap, we are seeking a talented Development Lead to join our growing team. Experienced in delivering business to consumer software, working with our product and tech teams, the Development Lead will manage and lead product development, QA and DevOps teams, holding accountability for the timely and within-budget delivery of the platform developments.


Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the COO, the Development Lead’s key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing, measuring and monitoring the effective delivery of the agreed product roadmap.
  • Working closely with the CEO and later the Product Analyst, to ensure that the released products have the right customer experience.
  • Developing and publishing reports on team velocity and performance.
  • Ensuring there is the right flow of information and collaboration between all team members: ensuring the right processes, communication, and reviews are in place and encourage the teams to collaborate fully with total trust.
  • Escalate any risks, issues and blockers to the COO.
  • Leading the recruitment of a world-class development team.



  • Proven experience of working with and leading global software development teams in different time zones.
  • Demonstrable experience working within agile and rapid prototyping software development environments to deliver quality software that solves complex customer problems. 
  • Experience working in the business to customer software development for web and mobile platforms.
  • Proven experience of being an effective Scrum Master.
  • Evidence of identifying technology trends, evaluating appropriate technology platforms and figuring out how to harness them for the benefit of the organisation and our customers.
  • Setting up new processes and procedures for successful software delivery and operation.
  • Familiarity with secure software development lifecycle and building software that is ISO compliant.
  • Expertise in working with the latest web and cloud technologies using proprietary and open source software.
